Today Microsoft released some nice new updates for Microsoft 365 Copilot. I’ll give you the most important ones here!
We are getting a new feature called “Copilot Pages”.
When using BizChat you will be able to make “Pages” out of your content. Pages is built upon Loop functionality. Which makes it easier to work directly next to BizChat.
BizChat will also be more of a home to all content you are working on from now on. You will start seeing buttons like “Edit in app” (Word, Excel, PPT, Pages etc.) when creating content with BizChat as you can see below.

Agents agents agents!
Microsoft is shifting focus to using more agents.
We can now build agents directly inside BizChat. It will use Copilot Studio in the backend, but it will easier for users to build their own agents.

We can also build agents in Sharepoint if we want an agent to focus on specific content inside a Sharepoint library or folder. Then you ask your agent questions specifically about only the content in that library or folder.

We can always edit these agents later inside Copilot Studio.

Excel is now GA
After being in “preview” for a longer time than other Office products, Excel is now finally generally available (GA).
Copilot in Excel will now start supporting Python in a public preview. For example ask Copilot to create Python code to generate advanced graphs.

Here is a short video showcasing it:
Copilot in PowerPoint
Copilot in PowerPoint will now use a narrative builder to create an outlook that you can use to guide how Copilot will draft your presentation. You can include documents directly into this.
Check out the short video from Microsoft here:
Copilot in PowerPoint will also support
Copilot in Word
Copilot can now also reference information from mail and meetings + the already supported sources from before (PowerPoint, Word and PDF). You can also find files on shared places like Sharepoint (before it was only from OneDrive).

Copilot in Outlook
Soon you will be able to use “Prioritize my inbox” in Outlook. It will look at your emails and prioritize which mails it thinks is most important for you. You can also “help” Copilot know which recipients are most important to you so new mails will be prioritized.
Here is a video from Microsoft showing it:
Copilot in Teams
Copilot in Teams meetings will now also be able to read the meeting chat + the transcription when answering questions from users.
New names
We can’t have a Microsoft event without a couple of new names. As you might have noticed Copilot for M365 has changed the name back to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot chat has now changed name to BizChat.
If you didn’t get a chance to watch the announcements you can see the full video here:
